When an Ignite occurs, damage scalars impacting your abilities can amplify the Ignite's AoE damage. All classes can Ignite.Īll Ignites experience damage falloff, although you can modify their area of effect with certain Fragments. This effect has a short cooldown between activations. Ignite deals enough damage to kill rank and file enemies in PvE and significantly damage Guardians in PvP. You can Ignite targets through certain abilities, Exotics, or by inflicting 100 Scorch stacks onto a target. Ignite is a debuff that causes the afflicted target to explode, dealing massive damage over an eight-meter radius.

  • Sol Invictus (Sunspots and uncharged melees, Titan).
  • Solar Powered Melees (Detailed in "All Scorch Sources").
  • Solar Grenades (Detailed in "All Scorch Sources").
  • When your Scorch stacks begin to decay, your Scorch's damage will also decay. Every ten stacks will add around 112 damage base damage in PvE, scaled through your Power and certain Exotics (notably Dawn Chorus and Winter's Guile for Warlocks).

From PvE testing, it appears that Scorch has a linear curve when it comes to scaling damage.

Your Scorch's damage is determined by the number of stacks the target has. Scorch cannot kill someone in the Crucible. Should they reach 100 Scorch stacks, the target will explode and have all Scorch stacks purged. Enemies will continue to burn until either they lose Scorch stacks or reach 100. This burn will start decaying after two seconds of no additional Scorch application, decaying at a rate of about 18-20 Scorch stacks per second. Should you spam Scorch sources on the target, they'll be afflicted with an even stronger damage-over-time effect. In essence, if an ability or weapon says it Scorches someone, it'll cause them to burn. This sounds much more complicated than it really is. Scorch stacks cap out at 100, at which point the target will cause an Ignite-Destiny's terminology for a Solar explosion. This burn rapidly decays if Scorch has not been inflicted on the target within the last two seconds. Every source of Scorch will inflict between 5-60 Scorch stacks on the target, causing them to burn. Scorch is a damage-over-time effect that increases in magnitude with each source of Scorch applied.

  • Loreley Splendor (Restoration x2, Titan).
  • Healing Grenades with Touch of Flame (Restoration x2 in PvE, Warlock).
  • Restoration does stack with the Well of Life mod, and Well of Radiance appears to give a hidden Restoration x3 effect that can be extended with Ember of Empyrean. Restoration works in PvE and PvP, although its regeneration effect in the Crucible is greatly reduced. For example, you cannot stack multiple Restoration x1 sources to achieve Restoration x2. Restoration sources do not stack to provide stronger healing benefits. Stacking Restoration effects will only reset your current cooldown. Recovery does not affect the Restoration stat, although Recovery's passive health regeneration and Restoration can be active simultaneously.

This effect lasts for four seconds by default, six with Ember of Solace. Restoration regenerates your health and shields at a fixed rate that cannot be interrupted.
